Beyond excited to finally see Sara Bareilles on Friday in Austin! It’s also important to note that the stunning Rashida Jones directed the video.

Forgot how much I like Janet Jackson’s “That’s the Way Love Goes”
“Gotta blame it on something…”
Guilty pleasure/karaoke jam making work fly by.
I’m not at all musically inclined, but while watching this week’s premiere episodes of The Voice, I couldn’t help but wonder which coach I would want to be teamed up with for the season. I probably enjoy Adam Levine/Maroon 5’s sound the most, but I know that I’d never make it that far unless the casting producers are looking for someone who has terrible breath control and couldn’t find the right key if it was sitting in a big red chair.
“Losing You” by Solange
I got to see her live last week in a venue where I feared for my life enough to map out two possible escape routes if the balcony that was less than 3 feet above my head began to collapse. The show was high energy and surprisingly concise. Maybe I should go to more Tuesday night concerts.
Maroon 5 medley with lyrics throughout the video. This is pretty neat. I’m also incredibly envious of people who are talented enough to mash songs together in a way that seems totally cohesive and almost greater than their original parts.
I randomly met Shannon through mutual friends while out one night in Austin. Casually sitting at our table, she and a friend began singing Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway” in stunning harmony. I’m a sucker for live performances, but this was just a singer having fun. Here she is covering Bonnie Rait’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” in another intimate environment.
Bonus- check out some of the other videos from The Spaulding Sessions. Such a phenomenal group (including Pentatonix from The Sing Off); I’d be squealing with glee to be present for something like this.
Stars - “Hold On When You Get Love and Let Go When You Give It”
Found this last night and I’m loving it!
Great cover even if it’s an awkwardly extreme close-up.
“I Can Lift a Car” by Walk the Moon
I’ll admit it- I love to hate on Taylor Swift. Still, this is phenomenal.

Fort Atlantic’s “Let Your Heart Hold Fast”
If you happen to be a HIMYM fan, this was the song playing at the end of the midseason finale when you know who asked you also know who to you know what…
Boyce Avenue covers “I’ll Be There For You” by the Rembrandts, which just so happens to be the theme to one of my all-time favorite TV shows, Friends
