Upcoming Movie Excitement: Looper

The premise of “Looper” is a bit twisted—in the future, mobsters send their enemies back in time to be executed until one day the executioner becomes the target. Say what?!

What’s got me so excited is that Joseph Gordon Levitt & Bruce Willis play the same character just in different decades. JGL went through a great bit of makeup but it’s his mannerisms that match up to Willis’s so perfectly. Also, Emily Blunt looks really… err… rough.

Upcoming Movie Excitement: The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight brought superhero movies to a level that was so far beyond anything in genre previously it will be very, very difficult for films to come close to in the future. However, Christopher Nolan is looking to outdo himself with this summer’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Specific plot details are scarce and speculative at best, but some critics are expecting that the climax could include Bane’s most well-known storyline—breaking Batman’s spine. Tom Hardy already looks spectacular as Bane, and I can’t wait to see more of Anne Hathaway & Joseph Gordon Levitt’s characters. My biggest concern with the trailers and teasers is Bane’s voice which appears to be heavily synthesized and accented. Add that to Christian Bale’s practically unbearable raspy growl and I’ll be praying for subtitles to understand what’s being said.

I saw this last night and loved it very much!

My dear friend catsolen made a sweet and beautiful handmade animation out of 50/50 to go on adult swim.  Seth and I recorded the voiceover for it in the REC Room.  Hell yeah, straight from my mic to cable TV :o)

This just makes me think of Vanilla Ice… “If you got a problem, yo I’ll solve it…”

Things that make me excited to see “50/50

  • The cast: Joseph Gordon Levitt, Seth Rogen, and Anna Kendrick alone are amazing
  • The concept: 20-something guy gets cancer and deals with life while waiting for death
  • The line: “You can’t change your situation. The only thing you can change is how you choose to deal with that.”
Everything falls to pieces exactly as it should.
